Highlights of Recent Major Accomplishments.

       

5. PROGRAM TO OBSERVE SOCIAL,        RELIGIOUS and NATIONAL EVENTS

A program to organize social events (picnics, dinners), elebrations on the occasion of, the Muslim religious observances,  Indian national events, American national events etc.

Every year AIM organizes an Iftar dinner in the month of Ramadan and a dinner to observe Eid-ul-Fitar. 

1993:  

Organized a public meeting/dinner for Ibrahim Sulaiman Sait, Chairman, Indian Union Muslim  League.

1994: 

- Organized a public meeting/dinner addressed by E Ahmad, senior member of Indian  parliament and Siddharta Shankar Ray, Indian ambassador to US.

- At AIM’s initiative the Indian ambassador Siddharta Shankar Ray, organized the first ever  Iftar dinner for the Community at the  Indian Embassy residence. 

 - Organized a public meeting/dinner for Rahim Quraishi, president 
of Tameer-e-Millat, Hyderabad. 

1996:  

Organized a public meeting/dinner for Mani Shankar Iyer, member of Indian parliament,  to discuss the plight of Muslims in India. 

1998:  

- Organized a public meeting/dinner for Mrs Fathima  Beevi, retired Judge of the  Supreme Court of India; member National Human Rights Commission of India. 

- Organized a public meeting for Indian Muslim leader Syed 
Shahabuddin.

2000:  

Organized a public meeting/dinner for Prof Tahir Mahmood, Chairman, Minorities Commission of India.  

2001:  

Organized a public meeting/dinner for Indian Muslim leader, Syed Shahabuddin.

2002 - 2006:  

Co-sponsored with other Associations an Eid-Milan dinner at the Indian Embassy residence every year.
